About the natural voice

PhonoLeaf comes with its own natural-sounding voice that runs entirely on your device — nothing you read is sent to a server to be turned into speech.

To play without gaps it has to generate speech faster than you can listen to it. Most phones manage this comfortably; some slower or older devices, and some web browsers, can’t keep up. When that happens PhonoLeaf automatically switches to the standard voice built into your device, so reading never stops — it just sounds more robotic.
